Airport expects a busy 2008

Robin Hood Airport is set for an exciting 2008, flying passengers to more places than ever, a spokesman said. Steve Adamson, product development manager at the airport, said: 'We welcomed over one million passengers in the last 12 months, and the new routes already announced to commence in 2008 will ensure another exciting year at Robin Hood Airport.'
The airport has already announced 7 new routes - 6 international and 1 domestic - for 2008. Passengers will be able to jet off to Poznan, Wroclaw and Warsaw in Poland as well as Heraklion in Crete and Pula in Croatia. Nearer to home an additional flight to Jersey will take off in March and in May Thomson will begin a service to Kefalonia.
