Robin Hood Airport parking gains Park Mark
28.12.11
Robin Hood Airport parking has been backed by the South Yorkshire Police’s safer parking scheme. Chief Superintendent Tim Innes visited the airport this week to present the safer parking award.
The scheme was set up by the Association of Chief Police Officers to reduce crime and the fear of crime in car parking areas. The Park Mark safer parking award is granted to car parks that have passed the risk assessment carried out by police officers and meet specific guidelines.
Being awarded the Park Mark shows Robin Hood has put in place measures that will help to deter criminal activity, and that it provides a safe and secure environment, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, covering all its 400 airport parking spaces.
