Cruise to take off from Robin Hood Airport

A Royal Caribbean International fly-cruise is to take off from Robin Hood Airport. The cruise line is to offer a charter flight from the airport to join the ship Vision of the Seas in the Dominican Republic on March 15.
The cruise itinerary covers 9 ports of call including Guadeloupe, Martinique, Barbados, St Lucia, St Maarten, Margarita Island and Aruba, with prices from £1245 per person.
A spokesman said that cruising is one of the most popular holiday types for people in Sheffield, with the city second only to Southampton as having more cruise passengers than anywhere else in the UK.
He said: 'With more direct long haul flights becoming available from regional hubs, we become more attractive to potential cruise holidaymakers.'
