New Airport Director announced

Peel Airports have announce the appointment of the new Director at Robin Hood Airport. Steve Gill, currently Group Environment and Facilities Director at Peel Airports, will take charge of the airport from September 1. As Airport Director, he will be responsible for planning, directing and managing the day to day operations of both Robin Hood and Durham Tees Valley Airports.
Mr Gill has almost 30 years’ experience in the aviation industry and has extensive expertise in airport planning and management. He knows Robin Hood Airport well, having played a key role in the planning and delivery of the UK’s first new full service commercial airport in 50 years, as the airport was developed from the former RAF Finningley.
During his time with Peel Airports, he has also held responsibility for a wide range of services including IT, property management, health and safety, corporate and social responsibility along with various outsourced service contracts.
