Shaheen Air is to introduce a 4 weekly service betwenn Robin Hood Airport and Dubai later this year, according to a report in the abtn.co.uk newsletter. The airline will use a two-class Boeing 767 for the service on the route, and plans to continue the flight on to Toronto in 2007.
Shaheen Air's Operations Director, Mohammed Jalil, said that the airline established in 1991, is profitable and has now only a small government holding. Currently Shaheen Air flies to 5 domestic and 6 international destinations in The Gulf and carried 500,000 passengers in 2005.
