Ryanair launch Alicante flights

Budget airline Ryanair has launched a new three-times weekly route between Robin Hood Airport and Alicante on Spain's Costa Blanca. The airline expects to carry 40,000 passengers on the new route over the next 12 months, adding to the 350,000 customers it is already carrying via the airport.
A Ryanair spokesman pointed out Alicante's many attractions, including 'beaches stretching for kilometres, sightseeing attractions and a wealth of shops and boutiques with something to suit every shopper.' The region is also popular with British travellers owning a second home abroad, has top-quality golf courses and is a year-round destination.
