Passengers up 16% in June

Robin Hood Airport passenger numbers have increased for the second month running, new figures show. Summer sun destinations were the most popular last month, with Palma, Alicante, Dalaman, Faro and Katowice the top five routes.
109,000 passengers passed through the terminal last month, a 16% year-on-year increase. Mike Morton, the airport director, said: ‘In addition to preparing for a busy summer, we are now looking ahead to our winter routes and should be announcing these in the coming months.’
