13.04.11
Ryanair has axed a flights from Robin Hood Airport to the popular resort of Alicante after a row over cash with Spanish airport company AENA.
The budget airline claims it is being forced to pay €2 million by Alicante Airport for using air bridges. It will axe more than two thirds of its flights in and out of the airport from October. It means Robin Hood’s summer timetable to the Costa Blanca, which runs until October, will continue as planned. However, there will be no winter flights unless the row is resolved.
