Passengers up 6.4% in February

Passengers at Robin Hood Airport were 6.4% up in February compared to the same month in 2007 (although last month had one more day than the same month last year). Just over 67,800 people passenger through the terminal during the month.
The airport will celebrate 3 years of operation in April, and continues its expansion. It already serves almost 50 destinations across the globe. The top 5 routes in February 2008 were:

Airport Director Hugh Lang said: ‘The growth in passenger throughput year on year demonstrates the continued impact Robin Hood Airport has on the local region. We are looking ahead to new routes opening over the next few months including to Polish capital Warsaw and holiday flights to Heraklion in Crete.'
