Maintenance firm to open Robin Hood Airport base

Aircraft maintenance firm Apple Aviation is to open a base at Robin Hood Airport, after receiving support from Invest in Doncaster. Apple, currently based at Liverpool Airport, will initially service Thomas Cook aircraft at Robin Hood, but hopes to grow and work with other airlines.
The company's managing director Bernard Longman said: ‘Doncaster is the perfect location for our new operation. The services the airport has to offer are exactly what we were looking for and we are delighted to have a team based here.’
