Flybe announce increase in Jersey flights
10.01.08
Flybe has announced that it will double its flights between Robin Hood Airport and Jersey, three months before launching the route. The regional airline is taking over the flights in the Spring when Thomsonfly withdraw from the route.
It was due to fly once a week - each Saturday when it takes over the service at the end of the winter schedule. However, the airline now said it will put on two flights a week - each Saturday and Wednesday - from May 3, because of higher than expected passenger demand.
The airline's chief commercial officer, Mike Rutter, said: 'The increase in services to Jersey show us responding to consumer demands. We're extremely pleased the service has proved so popular.'
