Passengers up 18.9 percent but Amsterdam flights scrapped
09.11.07
Robin Hood Airport announced an 18.9% rise in passenger numbers for October 2007 compared to the same time last year. However, the results came as the airport's main airline said that it is to cut flights to one of Europe's biggest cities.
Thomsonfly has scrapped its daily flights between Robin Hood to Amsterdam, while services to Prague and Jersey are also set to be dropped in the coming months. Coming after the airline also dropped flights to Paris earlier this year, local business leaders have raised serious concerns.
