Passengers up 12.6% in March

Passengers at Robin Hood Airport rose by 12.6% in March 2008 compared with a year earlier - almost twice the rate of growth of last month (in February passengers were up 6.4%). The airport, which will celebrate 3 years of operation this month, has now handled 2.85 million passengers since opening in April 2005.
More than 78,955 passengers travelled through the terminal during March 2008. Peel Airport’s Director, Hugh Lang, said: ‘A year on year passenger increase of over 12% is something to be very proud of. This week saw the start of Warsaw, another new scheduled service providing the airport region with yet more year round choice’
