05.04.11
Robin Hood Airport reports that holiday makers are already planning how to use the additional bank holiday this month given to celebrate the Royal Wedding. With April offering three bank holidays, millions of passengers will be taking full advantage of the extra day (taking 3 days holiday results in an 11 day break), and jetting off to a variety of destinations around the world.
A spokesman for the airport said it expects to see an increase in bookings between April 22 – May 22, including flights to the Costa Del Sol and Cyprus. Mike Morton, the airport's director, said: ‘Each year we see an increase in bookings over Easter due to the bank holidays. With the extra day, we expect to see even more people taking off from the airport in search of a spring break.’
